I am a mathematician interested in ideas coming from theoretical physics. I am currently a postdoc at the Hausdorff center in Bonn. One of the main themes in my work is infinite-dimensional spin geometry. It appears that this topic can be understood using either honest infinite-dimensional manifolds and bundles, or a higher categorical geometric objects, such as bundle gerbes and 2-vector bundles. In my current work I am trying to understand both versions, and the connection between them. In my doctoral dissertation, supervised by Konrad Waldorf, I focused on spin geometry on loop spaces, and constructed the “fusive” spinor bundle on the loop space of a string manifold. Before this, I did a BSc in physics, an MSc in theoretical physics and an MSc in mathematics in Utrecht.
I was a visiting student at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in November 2018.
In 2023 I co-organized the online workshop Quantization Days 4.0.
